Blue Fig Daily is an independent site about everyday living. We answer the practical questions that come up in daily life, like how long leftovers really keep, why bread goes stale, how to make a home more comfortable or what to know before a trip, clearly and with sources you can check.
What we publish
We cover four areas:
- Food: cooking basics, food storage and safety, and the science behind the kitchen.
- Home: cleaning, organizing, maintenance and making your space work better.
- Wellness: everyday habits like sleep, hydration and movement, explained with evidence (never medical advice).
- Travel: practical travel know-how, from planning and packing to how things work on the road.
Our articles are evergreen. We don’t chase breaking news. We write pieces meant to still be useful years from now, and we update them when the evidence changes.
How we work
Every article starts with a real question and ends with an answer you can verify. We rely on primary sources wherever possible: peer-reviewed research, government and university publications, museum collections and original documents. Claims are linked to where they came from. You can read the full process in our Editorial Policy.
Who’s behind Blue Fig Daily
Blue Fig Daily was founded by Roniel Prado, who edits every article on the site. The idea is simple: when you search a “why” or “how” question, you should get a clear, accurate answer and be able to see exactly where it came from.
We are not a news organization and we don’t give medical, legal or financial advice. If we get something wrong, we want to know. Corrections are made openly and noted on the article.
